Miniature version of the Die Box using a half dollar coin. The coin is dropped in one side of the box and after considerable "by play" of moving it back and forth between one compartment and the other, both doors of the hardwood case are opened and the coin is shown to have vanished. Finely made by Richard Buffum and based on the Brema model with the hold-back device at the rear of the box to keep the hidden coin from moving. Attractive brass hardware. Hallmarked by Buffum on the rear. Near fine.
