Thirty-Five Years of Sustained Wonder

$45.00

Pictorial wrappers, illustrated, 89 pages. On Sunday, February 20, 1977, at 3 pm, as the gong sounded thrice and the golden contour curtain rippled skyward, an intrepid band of performers led by theatrical wizard Cesareo Pelaez as the dynamic Marco the Magi, burst onto the stage of the 1920 Cabot Street Cinema Theatre in Beverly, Massachusetts. Though Cesareo had been working at the formation of his theatrical company for several years, thus began, on that snowy winter’s day, an unprecedented run of performances by a troupe now known as Le Grand David and His Own Spectacular Magic Company. Near fine condition.
