Leon’s Haunted Dollhouse, John Carney

John’s clever variations on the Great Leon’s miniature illusion. A doll house is shown, and the front removed, revealing a tray with various objects. The tray is removed, leaving the interior empty, and obviously free of trickery. and the magician talks about the spirit of a young ghost that inhabits the house. The spirit comes to life, visibly tying knots in ropes, animating toys, drawing spirit pictures, and finally, a ghostly face appears floating in the interior! Bonus effect: The Magnetized Wand that sticks to your hands. Upon command, it leaps from the magician’s fingertips! It’s a one man illusion, all operated by the magician, with a very simple, reliable principle. John has taken Leon’s basic concept, and added his own ideas to make the entire routine more natural and baffling. Walk away from the cabinet at any time. And yet, you are able to control the ghostly happenings. This is John’s actual prop used in his performances, custom made by Craig Dickens, and beautifully painted and detailed by artist Jim Piper. The house breaks down for packing, and comes with a table made specifically to hold the house, which also breaks down. Included is the packing case to transport everything.
