Massey Disintegrator Box

According to the ad copy written by Massey when this prop was first released, the Disintegrator Box is "The perfect and inexplicable vanish of a rabbit or other animals. This box is freely shown and a rabbit placed inside. Now please note the following moves, as they actually are performed. The lid is raised, the hinges are disconnected and lid turned completely over. BOTH SIDES OF THE LID HAVE BEEN SHOWN! THE LID IS PLACED FLAT ON TABLE AND BOX PLACED ON IT. NOW front and back sections are removed and slowly shown BOTH SIDES. End pieces are removed slowly and shown BOTH SIDES, THE BOTTOM IS SHOWN BOTH SIDES AND THE UPRIGHTS ARE FOLDED FLAT. Everything is now flat on the lid of the box. As the table upon which the box has been placed is draped with a scarf, naturally suspicion is attached to it. Therefore magician picks up the now disintegrated box and whisks away the scarf from the table showing only the bare table-top. The entire box is precision-built, decorated in yellow, red and black." A well-preserved example of this original Massey item (later made by Milson Worth with a few excellent features and additions). Very good condition. SCARCE.
