Vintage Magician's Scrapbook

Magician’s scrapbook filled with handwritten routines of various tricks, along with clippings from books and magazines, and instruction sheets. Extensive and detailed instructions for popular effects are included, which occasionally feature crude drawings. Ex-libris Dion Matthews (who we believe to be the writer and compiler of the book), gifted to Eddie Dawes by Bryan Houghton, with a gift notation pasted down, and signed by Houghton. Over 100 pages, and including a handwritten index of the contents on the first leaf. Hinges loose, chips to spine, fair to poor condition, but a unique document of mid-century British magic effects.
